About

Brenden Sica is an American electronic musician, producer, digital artist, and audio engineer based in New Jersey.

Throughout his high school and college years in North Carolina, Sica was able to collaborate with other musicians and bands until he helped form the experimental punk band Marla with a few friends and were signed to Commodity Fetish Records only two months into the band's existence.

When Marla disbanded and left their label in 2017, Sica formed Static Drives as an electronic music project to fully manifest his creative endeavors. In late 2018, he began releasing music under the moniker Machine PNG to create more electronic music.

In 2020, Sica began studying audio engineering in order to better refine his production as well as other musicians’ work he collaborated with. During this year, he also began to release music under his own name instead of through a project.

He also began to create music and digital art for the online poetry magazine New Note Poetry, established by long-time friend and collaborator Nathan Nicolau in late 2021.

In 2022-2023, he began to conceptualize new styles of internet music and art by mixing styles ranging from glitch, ambient, plunderphonics, and noise with electronic dance music in order to expand upon the genre's sound palette.

Post Internet Records was created by Sica and peers of his in order to cultivate a network of musicians, visual artists, and writers.
